Elspeth Rose is an English artist and illustrator with a passion for dogs. In 2010, she began creating her first art prints, over the years, her work has expanded to feature a diverse range of projects, creations, original pieces, and handcrafted items.
Her latest endeavor is a deeply personal project titled Grief is a Dog, a heartfelt exploration of the sorrow that accompanies the loss of our beloved canine companions. This book, told through evocative words and illustrations, takes readers on a journey through grief and healing.
Inspired by the passing of her cherished lurcher, Isabella, Grief is a Dog is a labor of love that aims to honor the precious memories we share with our pets. Set to launch at the end of October 2024, the book will be available in hardback format and can be shipped worldwide.
The dedication page of the book has raised £562 for Mind UK, a mental health charity dedicated to supporting individuals across England and Wales.

A beautiful book that explores Grief and Memory and the words are supported by the most evocative drawings. This book touched my heart and soul. Each time we give our love to a dog we know we will have to travel through Grief and Memories in the future. This book helps the process.
